The innovative LUZ DE ALBA project was born in Argamasilla de Alba (Ciudad Real), Spain\u2019s first ECO Experiential Olive Oil Tourism<\/strong> centre. Finca Luz de Alba offers a range of activities centred around olive oil, transporting travellers into a world of new sensations. <\/p>\n Why?…<\/p>\n ECO<\/em><\/strong>: because this project is self-sufficient, powered by solar energy and biomass generated from olive pits.<\/p>\n Olive Oil<\/em><\/strong>: around 50,000 olive trees\u2014some of them true centuries-old treasures\u2014produce five varieties of high-quality organic extra virgin olive oil, and have also enabled us to create a line of organic cosmetics and chocolates.<\/p>\n Tourism<\/em><\/strong>: the estate offers visitors a range of activities designed to showcase the olive oil production process, from harvesting the olives on the tree to bottling. Luz de Alba therefore offers workshops for adults and children, through which they learn to taste the “liquid gold”<\/em>, while also showing visitors the importance of olive oil throughout art history thanks to engaging and varied cultural activities. <\/p>\n Experiential<\/em><\/strong>: taste, smell, savour, enjoy! We have realised that the best way to connect with visitors is through the emotions and stories associated with our olive grove; therefore, by explaining those traditions and being able to see the cultivation and harvesting process on site<\/em> of the olives, and later physically visiting the olive mill, integrated within the estate itself, letting them taste the different types of oil and explaining during the visit how to distinguish one oil from another, those very special experiences are created that are finally bringing oleotourism to light\u2014a new form of inland tourism that therefore makes it possible to capture the essence of the culture surrounding the world of the olive tree and enjoy excellent gastronomy, accommodation with architecture that is not only traditional but, as in the case of Luz de Alba, avant-garde, perfectly integrated into the olive grove, while also offering beauty, health and wellbeing treatments…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The innovative LUZ DE ALBA project was born in Argamasilla de Alba (Ciudad Real), Spain\u2019s first ECO Experiential Olive Oil Tourism centre.
